Yes, you can superscore. I would suggest that you take the SAT again and then if you find that you did significantly better, I wouldn’t say you should take the ACT again. However, if you find yourself doing poorly on it, take the ACT again and see which one you did better on. I think it’s more of a judgement call, after you take the test, if you are satisfied with your score, keep it:) Best of luck!

If you get that CR score above 720 then i think you can get into all the schools you listed. Stats and EC wise youre matched for any school. Id say youll get into Berkeley, and get into two or three of the rest. Heck, you might get into all of them If i were you id apply EA/ED to your favorite.

Berkeley - match
UCLA- match
Stanford- maybe
Harvard- probably not
Princeton- probably not
MIT- maybe
Cal Tech- maybe
Cambridge- no clue

Your portfolio looks pretty similar to mine. I would really advise you to look at schools that are not in the top ten. Look at the ones between 10 and 25 (based on USNWR rankings). These are up there but you will also have a good chance of getting in. This is what I am doing. I will be applying to the less top ones and just a couple of the ivies. so, you might want to do some research on schools.

Hey Derivate, no matter what I say, you will apply to those schools anyways cuz I and none of these ppl have no idea if you’ll get in or not. I think you can try to take the SAT one more times and spend a lot of time working on your essays. Those are very important for Stanford. I know that cuz I am student at Stanford. They review your app holistically and not just purely GPA or SAT. It’s not a pure number game. Make sure your essay is very personal and illustrates your weakness. It doesn’t hurt to brag a little, just try not to be cokcy.

Thanks for the advice asian75. Just a bit confused at this stage since I am hearing slightly different things from different people.

I will try my best to improve my SAT, and I know I will be able to write really solid and personal essay as well as go into depth the extracurricular activities listed before.

Interesting feeling-- kinda want encouragement and a reality check at the same time ha ha.

Yeah of course. Describe some hardship you’ve overcome or something you’re really good at. Don’t make stuff up though. Exaggerate a little bit is fine, but don’t go over the top
