What are the chances of getting in (with early decision) with these SAT scores, assuming decency in all else.

Man forget about statistics. Just try your best. i got in with 1890

1870 actually. (english 550, writing 600, math 720)

seriously?! wow, what school did you get into and akorn, what school are you applying to?

imo 2150 is a good/decent/average/ solid score, of course 2250 wold be better but i heard that once you get passed 2250 the score becomes less important they start to look at other things more

ex: two people with 2250 and 2310 look about the same to the adcoms compared to a 2080 and 2190

This makes NO sense. Many of my friends have gotten 2300+ and have had good grades but were denied at Penn? I have a 2200 and good grades and other stuff. With early decision do I have a shot?

It doesn’t go just by stats. You do need to stand out in some way and/or make yourself appealing to the school. Just saying.

ohpeke- was your gpa outstanding? how about your other test scores?

the ONLY way you get in with that kind of SAT score is if you come from an inner city school in Philly (the avg SAT score for admitted kids is jaw droppingly low). Otherwise, maybe if you’re an olympic athlete or something… but they don’t just let kids in with sub 1900’s if they seem really cool or something lol

To be fair, I had a 2330 superscored SAT, but my unweighted GPA was about a 3.25. I know it can’t be only stats (although I’m sure they’re important). I’m from NY.

I agree with Lebby that ohpeke was probably from the Philly area. They seem more lenient around there.
