Probability Help!

I bet all of us will be able to benefit from some probabilty review. Can anyone explain instances to use permutations and combinations? I personally forgot. I think I will try googling it but any help will be appreciated.

I would also like help....

Combinations is the instance in which a group of something is needed; order doesn't matter; for example, xy and yx is one combination. Permutations, as one might assume, is the opposite - order does matter; xy and yx are two permutations.
