Hi. I applied ED2 for Boston college. I have a 4.0 gpa UW and I have taken 5 honors classes. 5 ap’s (including this year) and 2 dual enrollment. Both my parents went to Jesuit Colleges and I am a part of multiple clubs such as Students for refugees, midnight run, and habitat for humanity. I also did varsity XC. Thank you!!
What is your weighted GPA and what were your past AP scores? Colleges also like seeing that you have blended your personal interests into your academic life (internships, writing, band). They like seeing that you have already demonstrated interest in the major you applied for. For example, taking AP classes in line with your major or joining clubs are your major. What is your major?
Tell me more about your 4.0 - high school, number of Non-A’s on your official transcript and confirm you are not submitting tests. Thanks
I am not submitting any test scores. And my only non A’s were from an honors French and honors geometry and honors alg 2. Honors French was an 86 honors geometry was an 87 and honors Alg 2 was an 88. I also transferred middle of freshman year and I went from a 90 gpa freshman to a 96 sophomore.
I did 2 Website designs internships and my major is marketing. I also take ap macro. I’m not submitting any scores
If I understand correctly, you are saying you are not submitting any AP test scores. I am going to be honest, most colleges see the lack of scores and most of the time assume you failed or wonder why you never took the exams. What is your weighted GPA?
I also have a 4.18 gpa W
I have a 4.18 W GPA
I think you have a fairly good chance, especially w the ED II submission! I myself applied to BC but RD. I can tell you my stats if you would like. I think it also depends on supplements and educational background but good luck!
From my experience, you are exaggerating the value of an AP score. Note that the majority of them are taken senior year.
Thank you. What are your stats.
Thanks for sharing. I am familiar with a similar applicant who was deferred ED1. As you may know, more people who end up in the RD pool are not admitted. I realize that does not dictate what will happen to your candidacy, Given that information as a datapoint, I think you have a slightly less than a 50% chance of eventually getting in.
4.0 UW and 4.214 W.
I took 10 APs, and I took 7 AP exams already with four 5s and three 4s, I am taking three exams my senior year. I am not submitting test scores, except for my 800/800 French with Listening Subject Test. I also go to a particular kind of school and will be receiving both the French and American high school diplomas.
Wow. That’s impressive
Ok thank you so much for your input
Much luck!
