Northwestern University-
Wash U in St. Lou-
U of Illinois-
Iowa University-
Brown-
Cornell-
Duke-
Indiana U-
Vanderbilt-
Butler U-

Please respond to this if you can. Thank you in advance!

bump

and also for U of Chicago.

Academic record is pretty good. The 4 B's are of course a bit of a blemish, and although you're taking six APs senior year, I'm not sure how colleges will view that (it's in pretty serious contrast to 10/11 AP record). Is that class rank supposed to read 20 or 21 /266?

Your sports and your job are positives. I really don't know if ECs need to be "well-rounded" (so, your lack of volunteer work may or may not hurt you).

Northwestern University-low reach
Wash U in St. Lou-who knows, this school's admission process is absurd
U of Illinois-match
Iowa University-match
Brown-reach, also tough to tell what Brown likes
Cornell-low reach, rank and ACT are a little low but C admits a lot of people
Duke-reach
Indiana U-match
Vanderbilt-low reach
Butler U-match
UChicago-reach with stats/ECs, but an essay raises the dead here

For the class rank, my school has an unweighted class rank and a weighted class rank. I was trying to say that my class rank=
Unweighted-20/266
Weighted-1/266
I'm not sure which I submit to college but obviously I would hope weighted haha.

oh. well that makes quite a bit of a difference, you need to figure that out

ok joelyam, let me give this a try.

Northwestern University- reach
Wash U in St. Lou- reach/high match
U of Illinois- low match, maybe even safety
Iowa University- low match, maybe even safety
Brown- high reach
Cornell- high reach
Duke- reach
Indiana U- low match, maybe safety
Vanderbilt- match
Butler U-safety

good luck joelyam.

bump.
Thank you for your words on this.

I also just read that most schools use your weighted GPA to determine class rank. Unweighted GPA determines your GPA haha. So, if I find this true, then I would be #1 and I do not share that rank with anybody.

You're referring to high schools with "schools"? Or colleges?

Sorry, I meant the colleges/universities use weighted class rank. Sorry for the confusion.

Well they use whatever is given to them by your high school, UW or W. The college takes your rank and sets it aside. While colleges have their own ways of calculating/weighting GPA, they cannot manipulate class rank.

Yea, so I'm sure that my school will send them my weighted class rank since it's higher. So I shouldnt be too badly off.

bump.

I want some more opinions PLEASE!
