My son is getting together the things he needs for an ED application, and still working on his essays. If things start arriving at the college admissions office (test scores from College Board, teacher recs, transcripts) before his application is actually submitted, does the admissions office just catch those things and start a file on a kid?

I don't want him to feel like he has to rush his essays since there is still a lot of time before the deadline (and especially because he'll have to use them again in the RD round if he doesn't get in ED) because they should be "ripe" - as good as they're going to get.

I just don't want his app to get there a couple weeks before the deadline and not meet up with all the other scores and recs and transcripts that he'll soon be requesting to be sent. Need I not worry? This is my first time through this process.
