I know that most of the floors are coed (including the honors floors)…

So, does that mean that American has coed dorms as well? Or just that the floor is coed as a whole? I know of a few universities that have guys and girls on the same floor, but only pair guy/guy and girl/girl for dorms…as well as quite a few that have actual dorms that are coed, so I was just wondering. It doesn’t exactly say on the website. I chose not to go with an all-girl floor because I want to stay on an honors floor…but my parents are even more curious than I am, naturally. They asked and I couldn’t give them a 100% for sure answer.

That is what I'm asking, actually. Lol, and I would love to think that AU wouldn't choose to be that controversial. BUT...when I was doing my college search I came across a few that allowed guy/girl combo's...so I just wanted to be 100% certain before telling my parents that it was just a coed FLOOR.

However, there is a facebook group petitioning for the creation of coed rooms (i.e. gender neutral floors--i believe this also includes unisex bathrooms). Also, apparently, a senator from the student government is trying to push this bill. There's a facebook group about it, so you can check it out if you feel so inclined.
