<p>In my experience, I applied to the same college in high school (got wait-listed then rejected), then applied as a transfer student for the fall of my sophomore year (got rejected), and finally applied as a transfer student for the spring of my sophomore year (accepted!)</p>
<p>In my opinion, I think that my previous experience applying did help me because it kept my name on the admissions committee's "radar." I think that the more you keep your name on the map, the more it shows that you really want to attend (like you said maxk88).</p>
