Probably the most ridiculous college app story ever

What happens if I literally submitted the app a minute past the deadline? Is it a computer that automatically sorts apps or whatnot?

Probably nothing but I'd call you foolish

I dunno...but I did this for one of my safeties. East coast/west coast timing messed me up, even though it's not really an excuse. The date showed up as 12/1 at 12:01 rather than 11/30 when I was supposed to get it in.

Maybe colleges will be nice...? They seem to be lenient with when recs/transcripts come in, but apps are probably different

I admit I am indeed foolish, but wow what a story behind it. So I was in Vegas for New Years and right when I am about to push the submit button, the internet service went out. I actually rebought it just for the application and submitted it, only to have it a minute late.

And yeah that time difference did get me.

But now that I think about it, wouldn't the system shut down once the deadline passes. Seriously on New Year's theres enough chaos to warrant a one minute difference.

Well...just making sure, you're not talking about Brown right?

Because the app is due tonight not yesterday night.

I AM talking about Brown. Darth Raider, can you verify that? I checked the Brown Website and it says January 1st 2007. They did not specify a time, so I assumed that it was to be submitted by that time.

had to be submitted by 5pm

A January 1 deadline means before January 2.

The deadline was three hours and 12 minutes ago.

5 PM was the deadline for part I, not part II

Ok there has been a couple of contradictory posts here so I am a little confused. I understand that I am not in trouble for my last night submission. Anyways, when is the deadline for PART II? Thanks

Part I was 5 PM today, and Part II should be at midnight tonight...

Because today is still January 1st...the app is due today, not when it became today at midnight last night.
