It makes you wonder how some teachers were taught…

Best wishes, howdoihelp, to you and your D!

Thanks for keeping us updated - hope you can share even better news at the end of the semester and that your D feels confident about dealing with this difficult professor.

A long awaited update! DD is home, having made it thought the semester, and she will be going back! She got a B+ on her jury, with generally positive and constructive feedback, although I could not help but notice that the other 2 jury members were more positive in the tone of the comments. I have been informed that the other 2 freshman who were on probation are planning on returning as well, so I presume they also received satisfactory grades. While I am happy about the outcome, the process still infuriates me. I am glad she was able to get though it with a better attitude than I would have had in her place! Thank you for all of you support and feedback!

Yeah! Great job backing her up when you needed to and helping to get to the bottom of what was going on. I bet she has learned a valuable lesson on self-advocacy and communication as well. I would just bask in it for now, but maybe a reminder about all those lessons learned as she heads off again next fall as a kind of hand-off of those young adult skills. :D/
