OK, so I have a little story. On Nov. 22, I got an e-mail saying they received my app, and if, within 3 weeks, I hadn't received my interview time and person, to call a specific person. Dec. 1st, Less than 2 weeks, I went ahead and called the lady, because I was worried that I wouldn't get my info in time...she said she never received my info from Georgetown and that that was the last day for interviews for EA applicants...it wasn't her fault at all, because she's only the alumni coordinator, so I called GU and they told me that it would be waived because it was their fault and that it wouldn't help or hurt me...I personally thought the interview would help me a lot because it would add personality to my scores, so I'm guessing that GU doesn't want me?
The student that I talked to was also very rude...pretty much interupted me and said not to worry because "when and if * get deferred, * can have an interview later."
GU is my top choice, well was my top choice, but now I'm thinking again...if they keep blowing me off (I had app troubles too) and don't even want to interview me, should I even hope to be admitted?
Or am I over-analyzing.
Please be truthful.

I'm sure the person you talked to was a lowly and overworked intern that had had a long day. Don't worry about him/her, and don't worry about the interview. I'm sure their only real purpose is to screen out obnoxious people.

Yep, I would agree with Ryan. Although the interview could help if you REALLY WOW them for the most part it is to weed out people that they don't want. And yea, kids that have to do workstudy by taking phone calls aren't going to be thrilled about doing it.

whew! thanks!

I am so sorry!! That really sucks...I was happy that I had my interview, though, because that is the only way I can get into that school...otherwise, I am not good enough. I was able to talk about how much I loved the school and how it was my first choice without sounding desperate.

yep, that is what i had been hoping to do!
oh well, I guess I'll see in 10 days!
At this point, I'm like 99% sure that I'm going to get deferred.
