Problem in paying payment

Hi..I was paying my housing prepayment..but I came across a confusion/problem. For Fall 2010, I see two options..Family Housing Fall 2010 Prepay ($300) and Fall 2010 Housing Prepay ($600)..can someone tell me which one I have to pay or if I have to pay both? What is the Family Housing thing?
And I will be living in a traditional housing type dorms..

Its on housing website… 600 dollar for prepayment for fall 2010. Fork up 600 and you will be able to sign up for housing

You only have to pay the $600 pre-payment, which counts towards your housing costs for the fall semester.

Family housing is exactly what it sounds like. Some students are married and have kids (typically graduate students) and they have the option of living in family housing.

ohk…thanks guys!

Guys…I have another question to ask…well can I late modify my housing application?
Like I have contacted a person whom I want to be my roomie. But we haven’t finalized yet. I dont know how much time it’s gonna time. But I don’t want to wait longer because all the good dorms will get filled up (or are already filled up?) So, I was thinking if I could fill out my housing application right now, and then after a week go and change it so that I can mention my “friend” as my room partner. Is it possible?

Thanks guys! You guys have been a great help!

It is possible to change your roommate selection after registering. However, keep in mind that housing is assigned by the worst priority number between the group of people that want to room together. This means that if your potential roommate registers after you, housing will use his selection number to place both of you. Basically, it doesn’t matter when you register if you are first, but it matters when the last person in the room registers.

Ooh…
And where do I specify that what kind of room I want?
Like I wanted a four person room, but the application doesn’t have anyspace where I can specify that. I wrote that in the comments. Is that good enough?

That should be fine. Housing will take your request into consideration. If you listed the GTID’s of three other people and they also listed you that would strengthen your chance of getting a four person. Generally, quads are not in high demand, so I would not be surprised if you got your request.
