Problem: Interesting AP ART score....and a missing portfolio

Ok...so I got my AP scores and the one I was shocked at was AP Art score, I think it is incredibly suspicious that my portfolio hasn't shown up yet. When are we supposed to get our portfolio? I'm worried b/c my mom's b-day present was in it.
please advise

Are you sure collegeboard even returns your portfolio?

I don't think they'd return something that could potentially be turned in by another person in the future.

wow......not only is that cheap....but it's kinda dumb for you expecting them to give that back to you...that's like Collegeboard giving everyone their AP exams back.....it's not gonna happen...

no I know they give it back to you because a) it's your work and they ask you to send in original pieces and b) my friends all their portfolio's back after they took the exam last year. besides, it's not like giving everyone their exams back. the portfolio is a group of your work and your work only and it couldn't be turned in by someone inthe future unless you sold it to them or they stole it... which would be stupid. also, the art exam doesn't change from year to year so why wouldn't they give it back. so please, before you go calling me dumb... check the facts.

now... would anyone who actually has taken the ap art exams please respond

I was about to comment in your favor elvenqueen but I wasnt positive since I havent taken AP art. I think the previous comments in this thread were rather insulting. Im not sure when the portfolios are returned but when they are, it should also include a subscore for each of your pieces. If you are concerned, I would call the collegeboard.

Dang, you could at least give your mom a present that got a high grade.

^^ another heartless comment. Why are people such ass holes on this site?

where did elvenqueen say that she got a low grade? All s/he said was that it shocked s/he, for better or worse.

"the one I was shocked at was AP Art score"

well I checked in with my professor and he said to wait to the end of the month. In the meantime, maybe some of the posters here should learn tact, respect, and web etiquette. Obviously I was distressed when I posted because my mom's present might not be returned. I posted to ease my nerves because people usually try to lend a hand on this site. Therefore the cruel comments are hurtful and they sort of make me think, gee I guess I shouldn't post here anymore since posters try to tear each other down (and this is not only on this thread). It's disappointing.

And by the way, I went to my private prep school on an art scholarship. So try not to judge. I didn't do badly per say, I just hoped I would do better. It was an interesting score report.

And thanks to AznN3rd and ryan2288

I took AP Studio Art 3D, and I got my stuff back a few days ago. Maybe Saturday...?

Anyway, I'm not sure if it's different for 2D/DrawPaint, but I wouldn't freak out QUITE yet. It'll probably be coming soon. And I doubt any type of "interesting" AP score will affect you getting your portfolio back...good luck with that. I'd hate for Collegeboard to lose MY art.
