Bill did you look at that class in the online catalog? Sometimes there is more information presented there. What you listed would be just too many hours for regular sessions. But testing is usually done at off hours.

Bill124:
If you click on the Math221 course itself in the schedule of classes you will see that all sections of the Math 221 course have common exams on two Fridays, Sept 28 and Nov 9. These are the only two Fridays your D will have class on Friday evenings. Hope this helps. Good luck to your D on the exams.

Thanks very much to all.

socaldad: Glad to see that it’s all working out!

Linymom, It got even better. D2 wanted to take a theatre class. She was told by her advisor that she could not get in the class, and would have to wait til August. At my urging, she sent a nice email to the prof. He could not have been nicer. He agreed to add her to his class, and invited her to one and meet with him when school starts. Her schedule is now perfect in her eyes. Persistence pays off. Thanks all for listening…

That’s great, socaldad. One of the things I’ve been impressed with at UD is that despite the fact that it’s a pretty large school, it feels much smaller, both physically and in terms of students’ interactions with the faculty. S, who will be a junior, has had almost uniformly good experiences with his profs in terms of their responsiveness and willingness to be helpful.
