Problem: Only transcript available of junior and senior year

Hi everyone,

I'm in trouble: My school only keeps grades from junior and senior year (I'm an international); is this a big problem in the admissions process? (I want to apply to HYPPCD)
Because it basically means the adcoms'll only know my grades received in junior year..

Short other point: They don't measure GPA and ranks either..

Thanks for reading..

I think colleges will understand if that is your school's way of doing things. But, to be safe, I would make sure that this is known to the schools you're applying to and do anything in your power to let them know your grades/academic prowess (through teacher recs, essays, etc.). Depending on your situation - (if you had a steady incline of grades, or, maybe, if you didn't) - you should emphasize or de-emphasize accordingly.

I hope this helps. Good luck! :)

Thanks! I'll make sure my counselor adds a note to my transcript! I'm taking a lot of (self-studied) AP's this year as well, so I reckon -if I do a good job- those'll show my academic potential (and my regular grades are quite good as well).

Contact the schools you applying to and notify them, plus get any guidance they may offer. GPA and Ranks are not that much an issue. They will recalculate from the transcript. There are a number of schools that do not rank.
