if someone made fun of you when you were a freshman just about every single day...and you're a senior now, what should you do....should you avoid him even though he sits right next to you in one of your classes this year or is there a better approach

I personally would avoid him, but there are so many factors involved in this.

Everyone's definition of "made fun of" can be construed slightly differently, and then there's the whole bit of it was 3 years ago...

Don't avoid him. You're giving him power over you once again. You said it yourself- you're a senior now. Forget about that stuff. If the person starts making fun of you again, just say something to the extent of 'wow, looks like someone hasn't changed much.'

Now, if you don't mind stooping down a little, you can even come up with some nice classy comebacks. If you provide some of stuff that the person used to insult you, I would be glad to help you devise some nice material. Feel free to pm me- I'm always happy to help fight crime. :)

By "I would avoid him" I didn't mean go out of my way to stay clear of the guy... I should have said "ignore."

Stupid mistypings...

Just ignore him. Forget about him. It was freshman year! As a senior, you shouldn't be wimping out about someone making fun of you. This is your last year at hs. Make the best of it. Comebacks work too if he actually does anything. Just don't hide.

He made fun of you and possibly hurt you emotionally. Why should you give him your attention that he doesn't deserve?

^ I completey second that. After senior year, your off to college, vocation, family, etc. Don't give him attention he doesn't deserve.

if ya don't want to stoop to his level and retort, then just give him one of those "looks." like, the one that says "dude, you are soooo lame. grow up a little." with that one eyebrow up, one eyebrow down if you can do it. i wish i could show you what i was talking about. i've been mastering that look for awhile now (it comes in handy ;)). but basically, it'll show him that you don't really care about him or what he says, and hes just acting like a puerile little 2nd grader by teasing and insulting you every chance he gets.

if you start to insult him back, then you'll be just ask annoying as him, but you will get to sting him a little.

good luck!
