<p>I called my EC on the Nov. 30th. I had to call him late because I had about three important doctor's appointments to scheduled first. When I called him, he wasn't available but his assistant took my info down. Then while I was competing in Science Olympiad, he called my house. My mom told me about his call and said that he will call back. He didn't call back so today, on the deadline, I called him back but the number was his work phone and his office was closed today. His office won't open till Monday (Dec. 4th). I already sent an e-mail to interview.mit.edu. Is there still anything I can do? Is it impossible for me to get an inteview?</p>
<p>If you tried to contact him before the deadline and have been playing phone tag, I'm sure your EC will be willing to still schedule you an interview.</p>
<p>The deadline is to keep people from deciding they want to have interviews on December 14 at 11:55 PM, not to artificially keep people from having them just because they didn't get ahold of their ECs at just the right time.</p>
