Problem Sets

i know many courses have problem sets; will the professors give you the solutions to these problem set questions after you turn in your work? can i download the solutions somewhere online? if so, where are the links to these problem set questions and solutions? thx!

It's not like they're all in the same place...
just go to the course webpages from previous semesters or try ocw.mit.edu

Yeah, solutions are posted after the due date.

You can check the course websites (often found at web.mit.edu/cousenumber/www or at stellar.mit.edu) to see if solutions are up, but often they are taken down before the next semester begins, or else the webpage is restricted to people who are registered for the course in the previous semester. If you're just looking for a general feel for problem sets, you could check the OCW sites for your classes at ocw.mit.edu.

I can't find the chemistry exams or problems sets to study for for the ase exam. The ocw site is a good alternative though.

you could try the web archive too

Are problem sets for some classes really "impossible" to do or hellishly difficult?

err, for some classes yes...

Well, they're not usually actually impossible. I mean, if they were impossible, no one would be able to do them. What would be the point in that?

In many classes, they are often difficult enough that you will want to do them with a group of friends.
