Has anyone else encountered problems? My son is trying to apply online. When he gets to the page asking for intended field of study, the only options are all BM in various instruments, voice, etc. No BFA-MT option listed. Further down the page is states that theatre conservatory applicants proceed to next page. The program will not let you continue without first entering field of study. VERY frustrating!! We will call the school next week if no one here has any suggestions or is able to help.

AHH I thought I was the only one with that problem!

I posted on the Roosevelt CCPA message boards and they said that they will fix that (a couple weeks ago). So they took down the application for a while and brought it back up, but it's still not there...

I called the Theatre Conservatory Office today to make sure they matched up my sons's ACT scores that were sent last spring with his recent online application and to request an audition time. When I called, there was no sign of them having received his application (even though I printed off the verification page) and was told he was supposed to have requested an auditon with a page on the application. There was NO audition request page on the online application he filled out. After, I mentioned that our application fee of $100 had already been taken out of our checking account so they must have received the application, I was told the fee is only $75. I told her that online it charged us $100 and how do I get my refund if it is a mistake. She told me that they will apply it to his account if he is accepted, if not accepted then they will refund. I told her I don't want to wait until April or May for a refund.

Has anyone else encountered anything like this? Should this be a "red flag" of administrative problems with this school?

Is anyone still encountering problems with Roosevelt's online application? i have a client who has not been able to get the application to advance at all. I have another client who has had no problem getting it to work. I tried logging on under the student's account (just to test out if the problem was their computer) with no luck and I tried creating my own application account and also no luck. After logging in, the next step is to "select application type" and then the menu for that is grey and there is nothing I can do (either can the other family). I tried another server and on that server, when I get to the first window of "select application type", it is not grey, but there is no "menu" of application types to select from and there is an arrow for a menu but none exists. There is a window box but you can't type in it. So, I can't advance. Obviously, the family must call the school. To my knowledge, for Roosevelt, theater applicants have different essays than a general applicant, right? The only way to find those prompts is advancing on the online app and so I have the prompts from a student who was able to advance the app. Anyone else have a clue about how to work the online app? It is going to have to be resolved by the family calling the school.

My D did not apply to Roosevelt and so it may seem odd for me to respond. However, D did the majority of her applications on-line and learned that some applications work with "pop up boxes" that can be set to be disabled by your browser. May be this is happening to those experiencing problems. If anything it may be worthwhile checking out the settings of your current internet browser or try using a different browser altogether.

I'm no techie in terms of how to disable pop up boxes if that is the cause. But I tried TWO browsers for this person just to test it out for her since they are having difficulties. I realize we can't be the only ones as it happened on their computers (they tried several computers in their house) and on mine but another client has had it work OK. They may need to call the school to inquire. The same family having the problem with Roosevelt has done many other online apps without a hitch, however.

Soozievt - I am not particularly computer savvy either (just trying to help), but according to my D, and this is for Explorer, there is a "tools link" in the header that you can click on; it brings you to a variety of options including a pop up blocker that you can turn on and off, and even a more advanced settings feature.

Let's see if there is anyone a bit more technical here amongst our CC family that can take things from there :)
