Problem With CC Discussion Pages Loading

Hey there, can someone please help with this problem…I can access CC discussion pages via my IPad and android But not via my MacBook Pro. Everything was fine till last night. Now on my MacBook Pro I can get to CC’s main page but when I try to load any “discussion” pages, the page stays blank.

I thought it was my computer and reloaded Safari last night, then another poster contacted me via Facebook and asked the same question as they are having the same problem. They do not use a Mac that I am aware of.

HELP me fix this please

I have the same situation. Pages load instantly on my Fire but no longer do on my desktop. It can take up to 30 seconds to load a page while the little message at the bottom says “waiting for collegecondifential ads”. I thought it was because my desktop is getting old.

I had kind of the same problem last night. From my iPad I couldn’t get it to load the discussion pages. I was getting a message that CC was temporarily unavailable and to try later. I just logged out of CC and then logged back in and it then worked fine.

Same issue here. No access on Mac or iPhone last night. ThisAM the iPhones back up (no log out/log in required), but the Mac’s still coming up with white pages.

Can a moderator please help us??

How do we contact the powers to be??? Please help some posters have no access.

The iPhone app is worthless. I have to delete it and reload it from the app store every day now.

On my android, i just use my browse and go to CC. That is still working. Macbook Pro and safari are still no good. No problems with any other website.

THat’s odd. Everything appears to be loading fine on my Mac desktop, in Safari. The iPhone app has a tendency to freeze or crash a lot and sometimes it goes into Choose Your Forum but other times it lets me go to Unread or Participated Threads. No rhyme or reason

I’m another Mac user who has also been unable to access any of the forum pages since yesterday evening. Doesn’t work using Safari (tried two different versions) or Firefox.

The only way I was able to get through now was to use a proxy server.

I jumped through all the same hoops as the OP - assuming there was something wrong at my end . . . and re-installing Safari, etc., etc. Hours wasted and, of course, nothing worked.

I honestly don’t know if anyone ever looks at the Community forum. I’ve always assumed that posting here was the virtual equivalent of spitting into the wind . . . but I’d loved to be proven wrong.

For whatever it’s worth, for those Mac users among you who don’t have access to the forum pages, you should find that you have no problem accessing the [url=/url]. There, at least, you can click on “contact” to send an email to CC and register a complaint about the problem. Although I’m guessing you shouldn’t hold your breath for an answer . . . not during the weekend, anyway.

It appears that only the discussion boards are affected.

Noticed that one user posted at about 4:25 pm that she was finally able to access CC again after getting nothing but a blank page all day.

But, just in case anybody cares, it is not yet fixed for the rest of us!

The administrators are aware of the problem (which I have, too!) and have asked the tech guys to work on it.

Thanks MaineLongHorn, so glad to hear that the problem is being addressed. As an update, I still cannot access CC Forum pages. I am still using my Ipad (1) to access but others with IPad (2)'s cannot. So far Safari and MacBook Pro are a “no go”.

Can you please keep us updated, I am happy to pass information along via email and Facebook.

I’m so sorry it has taken awhile to respond. We had an issue with the site on Thursday and Friday do to hardware failure but we thought it was resolved and we haven’t been able to reproduce the error. I’m taking a look at it now and will get this resolved for you asap.

^^^^ Thank You for the help, as I said earlier many of us could not even post about our collective problems. Luckily, I had an alternate means to post, my old IPad.
