I was scheduled to fly to Harvard again in a few days for an on-campus interview, however 2 weeks ago these plans were unexpectedly cancelled due to a conflict with my school's marching band trip.

After speaking with a kind lady from the admissions office about this, she advised me to contact my local Harvard club for an interview. I emailed them about a week or so ago, and received a response within a couple of hours that my email had been forwarded to the manager of my region's part of the interview committee. The person who responded also said "it's also past the usual interviewing season so it's not certain it can still be arranged."

I have yet to received a response from anyone.

Some posts here indicate that there is a deadline for interviews, and that it is soon. I'm nervous I'm going to miss this. I'm also nervous that they are not interviewing me because my application is not competitive enough, although my counselor believes this is unlikely. I'm comfortable posting stats if you'd like to glance at them. If any interviewers are willing to give me a no-spin answer as to whether you/your committee selects interviewers based on stats, post here :).

Given my limited time (band trip coming up) and possible deadline, I'm going to re-email the lady who emailed me tonight. Please don't say that "a lack of an interview won't hurt you," I've already heard that plenty of times. If you have any other suggestions, thoughts, etc, post here, much appreciated!

end of overly verbose post
