Problem with my ACT Application

Hi everyone,
So i just registered for the September ACT and when I chose my grade level and graduation year it said “your grade level and expected graduation date are inconsistent”.So I am in the summer of 11th grade right now and i will graduate in 2016.I thought that it was just an error and i finished my registration without thinking much about it.Now I realise that it gave an error because in September I will be a 12th grader. So what should I do now?I am not able to change it.Should I call them and let them know?Would it cause a delay in my score report? Thanks

Don’t worry about it. The information about your grade level and graduation date is only used for two purposes:

  • For aggregate statistical reporting (e.g. average ACT score by grade level)
  • For targeted advertising (ACT will sell your name to colleges who want to advertise to prospective applicants)

In North American systems, the convention is that you are in 12th grade as soon as you finish 11th grade. For example, if you were to take a summer class, it would show up on your 12th grade transcript. If you are graduating in 2016, you are a 12th grader now, even though you don’t start classes for several weeks.

Your score report etc will be fine as b@rium said.

thanks guys
