I know this question's been asked on here before because I saw some threads like this last year, but I can't locate them so it'd be nice if someone could help me out. :)

What should I do if I got into UNC but won't find out from other schools I applied to until early May. I also applied to Georgetown and Northwestern but I'm positive at least one will request my final transcripts before they make a decision (just based on what I've read from their transfer threads over the past 2 years) and those grades most likely won't be available until mid-May at the earliest because my school's semester ends on May 10th.

I come from a really low income family and would normally request a waiver of the $250 tuition deposit for UNC, but on the admission form, it says that I will be responsible for all payments for tuition, fees, and housing if I accept the offer of admission and request the waiver. This can't possibly mean that I'd be obligated to attend Carolina if I accept and request a tuition deposit waiver can it?

I'm going to accept and request the tuition deposit waiver because it's likely that I won't get into the other schools I applied to and I need to apply for on-campus housing ASAP.
(The application forms indicate that housing for transfers is given on a space available basis in the order they receive the housing applications)

Could I be in a serious dilemma if I somehow got into Georgetown as a transfer in mid-May and had already accepted the offer of admission from UNC-CH with the tuition deposit waiver but decided to matriculate at Georgetown?

I remember reading that people often request an extension of the deadline to respond to the offer of admission at a school for this exact reason but I have my doubts about whether they'll grant me an extension considering that it's a large state school with tens of thousands of students.
