problem

i haven't heard anything from long beach and all of my friends have gotten in thus far. no email, and i don't think they ever sent me a portal info email. should i be worried? what should i do? tbh I'm kind of scared! (enrolling as a freshman)

Are you checking your application status every day or are you just expecting them to email you?
They never emailed me and I was accepted over a week ago.
Also, don’t forget that this is a holiday weekend so they are probably not in the office till tomorrow.

Your notification date also seems to depend on the major from what I have seen so far. Impacted majors are notified first and then non-impacted majors.
I’m sure you’ll hear soon, just because you haven’t been notified yet doesn’t mean you won’t be accepted!

I hope you’re right :frowning: but there lies the problem, they never sent me info on how to set up my portal so i have no way of checking

Where are you from? Those in SoCal will hear first from them. I know waiting is hard! You should hear from them soon though!

I am in SoCal though :(

I never got info on how to set up my portal either.
Don’t worry too much!
Are you having your application status emailed to you everyday? That’s what I had to do.

I also didn’t get information on how to set up the portal, but they sent me an email. I think to set up a portal you just need your ID number so maybe try that. You should hear back soon though! Good luck on getting in :)

thanks to both of you  but no i don’t even get that!

I got an email from them today however. It said that I’m still being “considered” and that I need to take the math entry exam or something.

sigh :(

Don’t be disappointed by that. It probably just means that your SAT or ACT scores weren’t high enough for exemption. Most people have to take it. It shouldn’t affect your admission.
