My orientation counselor told me that CSU Fullerton still expected me to send a transcript about a class they were expecting to receive.

But I had informed UCLA earlier in the winter that I was no longer taking the course..and a few weeks later I called to confirm it and some guy at murphy hall or whoever is in charge of stuff like this said that since the e-mail is in the records that I should be fine. But apparently they haven't updated it..I guess I have to call them again

I really don't want to get rescinded over something like that..am I screwed?

I don't understand. Did you just transfer from CSUF to UCLA? You were taking a course in the winter at CSUF but you dropped it and CSUF "still expected [you] to send a transcript [to UCLA]"?

What e-mail are you talking about? I take it that the issue was cleared with XYZ representative or administrator and that the winter grade should not be an issue?

No, you shouldn't be screwed. Have you sent a follow-up to the same person regarding the class you left?

Naw I was planning to take a year-long course at CSUF while I was in high school my senior year, but I dropped it and informed UCLA. I informed them that I was dropping the course with an e-mail. After that they replied back saying that they will put it in the records. So after a few weeks I called them personally at murphy hall to see if they received the e-mail and the update, and they said that they did so I should be fine.

But my orientation counselor said that in my records UCLA was still expecting the transcript from that course, so naturally I was like wait...I already informed them way long ago that I was no longer taking it.

You should be fine. I had to deal with something similar about transferring a course from a community college that I ended up not taking during the second-half of my senior year. In general, they're not too anal about these things. And... Murphy Hall is annoying and bureacratic and usually a pain to deal with.

As for your Orientation Counselor - he/she is not completely all-knowing about your academic records. I had some nuances involving my DPR and some AP grades that eventually were cleared up. There might be some laggage from one department to another within Murphy Hall or he/she might be receiving the information form a different source such that your combined records are not readily consolidated across the suggested (implied or not) departments.

If Murphy Hall says you're OK, then... you're OK.

Clarification: So they absolutely said you're OK and that you would not be rescinded? (Or was this just about receiving the notice?)

and i talked to the guy and he said i was clear and would not be rescinded because it was in my records that i was not doing the course anymore.

i think i may call murphy again soon to see what's up
