Problems Encountered in Filling Out Common Application

Okay folks ~ it is that time of the year for college prospective students. All the current freshman know that college application can be daunting. I think it is necessary to set up a new thread for hopefuls to ask questions!

So, I'll start:

1) Is it necessary to list ALL the SAT scores I have received?
2) Is it necessary to list ALL the AP scores I have received?
3) Is it necessary to list ALL the TOEFL scores I have received?
4) For ECs, should I check the box that says "grade 12" if I know for sure I am going to participate in an activity in grade 12?

GO CORNELL!!!

It's July 1st and you're filling out apps already? I distinctly remember me sleeping at this time 1 year ago... apps were for the last week of October.

I am very conscientious and very enthusiastic about going to Cornell ^^!!!!!

Are AP's offered in countries other than US?

Yes... now back to my questions!!!?!???

1) i didnt, but the SAT score report shows all scores anyway
2) nope, i don't think so. i also dont think you have to send AP score reports when you apply, so they wont know if you leave stuff out anyway
3) ummm, if your CR is > 700 im pretty sure you don't have to. but you should check anyway.
4) yea why not.

Oh Thanks ^^ I did well on my TOEFL iBT anyway, so it will only help if I put my iBT score on my application.
NICE NICE ~ I should leave out my crappy AP Chem mark ~

Another Question:
May I include my summer work experience on the "work experience" section, or just the work done during school-time?

Work experience would just be any job you have had regardless of what time of the year it was.

As far as Q4 on the original post, I thought you just put what you have done so far and check the box that says plan to continue if you will be doing it longer. If you started the school year before submitting the app and actually started doing it for grade 12 at the time of the app then of course check 12th, but if you turn in the app before actually doing anything with that activity in the 12th grade wouldn't that basically be lying? There is a reason why it has a plan to continue bubble (unless they changed it, I haven't seen the new one yet).

For the "family" section, what if my the colleges my parents graduated from do not have CEEB codes?

Do I just select "none" or "not found" or something to that effect?

there's a whole common app thread in the college admissions board...that might have answers you need
