Hi CCers,

I am coming to you to present a problem that I am having with Mathematics. I am a very competitive English and history student. However, I didn't begin to get serious about school until my junior year. My freshman and sophomore years are littered with the stain of Cs.

Despite this, many people think that I'd be a competitive applicant for college admission. However, I have another huge problem. I was never able to pass Geometry and thus could not move onto Algebra II. I am way short of the Maths that most schools require.

In lieu of these math classes, I opted to take Tech Math I and II. However, I also encountered great difficulty in these classes. I failed Tech Math I my first time and had to retake it. My teacher was quite mediocre. I retook TM and passed. Now, I have to take Tech Math II.

As for why I didn't retake Geometry, I cannot say. Really, I do not know. My school put me in Tech Math I when I failed Geometry and I wasn't given a chance to repeat it.

So essentially, I have stellar grades in English and history but mediocre (if not outright abysmal) scores in Math. I also do not have the math classes that most publics require.

Are there any private colleges willing to work with me or am I doomed to community college?

Help me CC, I am lonely and confused.
