Problems with 10th and 11th grade English?

I'm putting this in high school life because this occurred in high school and I'm sort of new so excuse me if this in the wrong place!

I swear, 10th and 11th grade were living hell for me. 10th grade in my honors English class, I was severely bullied by a group of 3 boys. I tried talking to the teacher and the counselor about it. My teacher ignored me, and my counselor told me they probably liked me (IN WHAT UNIVERSE) so I ended up getting a C in that class, and I actually switched schools because of my horrible experience.

In my new school, when I started 11th grade, my mother got very sick, and we had a lot of financial problems, so my mother couldn't get the help she needed (she still can't) plus I was in a new school so I was stressed also with a new system. I ended up getting a 69 percent in the AP English class because I had a missed a few days, and my teacher didn't let me make up a few of the assignments, and I left the class, but according to my school there was no space in honors so I ended up going to regular English and got a B because of the 69.

Ironically, English is my best subject. I got a 790 on my SAT critical reading 2nd time around, and I've always been above grade level in writing and reading. I'm afraid this is really going to affect my college acceptances. I was wondering if anyone had any advice?

hmm. I may be wrong, but if you explain your issues to the adcoms or whoever you talk to at the college, they’ll probably understand - expecially since you got such a high score on the sat.

nice cr score! yeah especially at the more selective universities i think they will understand if you explain a bit. still it will probably hurt your chances to some extent no matter what you say, but not so much that you should worry about it a lot. also i think the chance exists that it could make you stand out and seem special but it’s a small chance.

explain it in the additional info. section. colleges will understand.
