I am studying for the November`s SAT and I am having hard time with the Reading Section. I am an international student and even in my own language I am not that good in reading. I have two main problems. First, timing. Second, answer choices. I usually get 32 correct answers out of 52 questions. 10-12 of those questions I can not even read (I run out of time before the last passage). I usually take a lot of time reading the passage, once I am a slow reader. What do you guys suggest me to do?
Thanks,
Ichinose
I suggest practicing your reading skills; you can read news articles or books, it doesn’t matter as long as you are reading. When you apply to college the admissions officers won’t penalize you too much for having a lower reading score. If you study up on your grammar and improve you reading speed a 650/700 shouldn’t be too difficult. I’m not sure if you have time enough for this goal for the november SAT but if it were me I would take it again and continue to study even after the test.
