I am one of the top people in a class of 150 at a lab school. Science is one of my best subjects. I am entering my junior year and am allready selfstudying ap physics B. I have taken the ACT once and recieved a 23 on it. I have no idea where this is coming from since science material is always picked up very easy by me. Does anyone have any similar experience and/or advice on how to improve

The test doesn't deal with scientific knowledge at all, merely how well and quick you read graphs/data. When I first started I got 25-28 on the science, but I improved to 33-34 so there's hope. And science is my worst academic subject.

Ray is right, the science section DOES NOT test you on scientific subjects. Go to the ACT website and look it up, and you'll see that your ability in certain science area (like chemistry, biology, physics, so on) is null when it comes to the test. You need instead to be able to understand data representation, discern conflicting viewpoints, perform some basic extrapolation, and extract all the appropriate information they give you, which is a lot. Take some practice tests to pinpoint what is dragging you down and try bettering your skills with those specific areas. A lot of people think of the science section as another reading section, with themes geared toward science.
