Well, I normally am a pretty decent student, but this year(my senior year), I have GREATLY declined in grades in two of my classes. The two classes are calculus, and physics. I had good grades last year in my Trig class, I do not know what my problem is with calculus..I've heard people say the teacher sucks, etc, but I can't blame it on the teacher. I am pulling them up as best as I can. My question is will that GREATLY affect me? I am not applying to any big time schools like Cornell, Duke, etc. I have applied to schools like CNU, Longwood, and VCU. I got a 1040 on the SAT's(math/reading). I am just going to do what I can now, and that is try my hardest to pull them up.

Yeah..I'll admit ..The Physics grade is pretty much my fault because of some of my decisions. I am working on that now. Calculus seems to be my biggest obstacle

PS- Actually, last year I was in this lower level of Trig or something, and I was supposed to just go to the normal/honors level of Trig, but the teacher just put most of us down for calculus. I thought it would look good for colleges, however, it is just bring my GPA down.

It shouldn't be too detrimental to your chances, esp since you aren't applying to over-the-top cutthroat schools. As long as your other grades are still up and you can (hopefully) show some improvement, however slight, you should be fine. Good luck!

Thanks, that really makes me feel better. I mean maybe they will see I have atleast tried to make my courseload as hard as I could.
