how do you know what major you got in!!! =)

If you have a decision this early in the process, it is an acceptance. Congrats to all above! Your major will be listed on your letter that you receive in the mail if it is not listed on your AIS.

They ask if you ddnt get your 1st choice right? So if they didnt ask can we assume its first choice?

Again, this early in the application cycle, it is probably your first choice major. I have read and heard directly from admissions staff that A&M accepts you into the university first and then into your major of choice if there are slots open. The one restriction on that that I am aware of is you need at least a 550 Math SAT score (or equivalent ACT score) to be admitted into an engineering major.

Way to go guys!

Has any of y’alls Howdy pages changed? Like a My Records tab being added?

I’ve applied to transfer, so I don’t expect to get to see step 4 quite yet, but this tab was added to mine. It makes me curious, because it’s for registration, dropping classes, financial aid, etc… Not sure why they’d add it if I’m not getting accepted. So, I wonder if this has happened to any of y’all that got in?

I got accepted! Omg.

Haha! see yall next year! =)

mine changed to step 4 and my records tab was added in howdy but no step 5 yet the wait is driving me crazy

Congrats on everyone who has been accepted, I’m hoping the class of 2015 is as red ass as us, the class of 2014.

I know I’m just a transfer student but… Step 4, and My Record tab up on Howdy. So eager to hear!

mine went to step 5 today what a relief!

Does anyone know if it’s a “good sign” that a My Record tab has appeared on the Howdy ?? don’t want to get too excited to soon…

Probably so. Mine never went to Step 5 or had a My Record tab come up and I got the rejection letter today.

I can’t believe I didn’t get in with a 3.87 GPR into Agribusiness. A’s in all my business courses and both acct’s, both econs and both maths done. Plus, I’m in busi. law and the intro ag course. Does anyone know if there is anything else I can do? Thanks…

Any more news? :D

derekallen, were you transferring in ? I can’t believe they already sent a rejection letter … the cut off isn’t until Oct. So sorry. My D didn’t get in off the waitlist last spring with a 4.6 GPA ( 16th % ) and 1290 on her SAT. A lot of her friends got in with much lower GPA’s and SAT scores. Sometimes I think it’s hit or miss. She spent all summer in college and has 26 hrs and 13 more this fall will be added. She is 17.

No new news today I have to believe that the My Record Tab is a good thing…

Yeah, I was trying to transfer in. I thought too, because I got to Step 4 so early, it was a good sign. And Frankly, I’m going on Monday to the PSCenter and get some answers. When I got rejected from Mays for the Fall I was understanding, but I live in CS and everyone I would talk to said I was almost a sure thing, with such a high GPR and so many of the pre-req courses completed. Does anyone know if you can appeal?

derelallen, you should appeal. We know kids that did just that. Fight for what you want!! It sure wouldn’t hurt … no regrets. Good Luck:)

My D is still on step 3 … still waiting.

I went to the PSCenter today and a advisor gave me the phone number to the Ag Econ Dept. When I called, they told me I didn’t get in because of my essays. She said my essay was good, but that they had saved my essay from the Fall 2010 application this summer and it was apparant to them that I wanted to study business and economics and that they don’t let kids back door their way into the business school. Which is kind of ridiculous seeing as how I would have too many hours to transfer into Mays once I was already accepted to AgBusiness. WaitingInTX you are right though, I 'm not going to let a advisor tell me nothing can be done so early…She was literally quoting my two essays.

For the Fall, which is now. I applied For Mays and Econ, Second Choice. FYI.
