<p>derekallen, I do know they consider the essay very highly. When my D got waitlisted we knew of kids that were changing their first choice to General Studies. Our advisor told us it’s best not to change and try for a transfer in the spring… same major. They are looking to get the students who really want that department. Do not give up though. Do not have regrets. As they say " squeaky wheel gets the oil"

<p>"These steps may allow you to see if you have been accepted and what major you have been accepted to from the my records tab… this is a bit round about and may be confusing…</p>
<p>Click on the “my record” tab. Under my records, if your screen shows a registration frame off to the left of the screen, click the I accept button in the registration frame. A drop down menu should appear with hyperlink options that include select term, look up classes, registration status ect.</p>
<p>Click on registration status, this should take you to a new screen that has three tabs at the top. The tabs are personal information, student, and associates. The student tab should be highlighted. Below you will see Registration with a drop down menu. Click on the already highlighted student tab. This will take you to the root student menu. There should be two hyperlinks on this new page, the first is registration and the second is student records. Click student records. This will bring to to another screen with several hyperlinks to include view holds, view unofficial transcript, view student information ect…</p>
<p>Click on view unofficial transcript. This will bring you to an unofficial transcript page with two drop down menus and a submit button. Click the submit button. This will show you your current transfer transcript with your department and current major. This is how I found out my major before recieving my acceptance letter."</p>

So I was in the same boat this year as your daughter, wait listed, best to try for Spring, college all summer after graduating and so on… And a few weeks ago I got the My Record tab and last week I was accepted! I seriously think she’s got really good chances. It probably just depends when she applied, I did a week after it all opened up. Good luck if she hasn’t heard back yet, hopefully she’ll be heading down there this spring with me! :)</p>

<p>YAY Winypooh519 I have been reading your post and am so thrilled you got in. AWESOME. My D applied late Aug. She had to wait till she finished her summer courses at CC. She also is trying for a BS in Psyc. and has had straight A’s also. Hoping you two run into each other. </p>

<p>Seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised if she bumped to step 4 tomorrow. That seems like how long it took me to find out. One week My Record tab, the next Wednesday Step 4, and late Thursday Step 5. And that seems to be how it was for the freshmen the week before.</p>

<p>I’ll have to have my D look for you. She knows lots of people on and off campus. She will be at Transfer day Oct 8th… are you going? and NSC on Jan 10-11.</p>
<p>I know many people down there too. I chose Jan 12-13 so we would be rushed getting down there since we live 8 hours away. I forgot all about Transfer Day, but I might see if I can make a trip down there now. And when it opens up, she needs to sign up for Howdy Camp! I know I am.</p>

<p>it’s only been about two weeks since i submitted my application as a transfer…my last document was process on 20 september if that helps…when do they send out denial letters?</p>

<p>I’m at the community college in my town right now. Yes, I applied around August 8. I had 15 hours from high school, and was still working on my my last 9 hours this summer when I applied. But I got them all in before this semester started.</p>
