Professor Charging for Tutoring

Sorry if this isn’t the right forum, I’ve never posted on here before.

So, I was looking at the announcements for my new courses and it seems my Professor is offering tutoring on the side for around $50hr to learn different software. Can he do that? To me it seems unethical and a conflict of interest.

Plus he doesn’t even teach during the regular lectures anyway. He’s just like here’s your assignments for the week, here’s what I’m changing, here’s some examples that I’ll vaguely go over, alright that concludes my 30 min lecture same time next week, later.

First, that’s not what a conflict of interest is. Second, if its truly on the side, there’s no problem. If it was mandatory, then you’d have a problem.
If it was a problem, you wouldn’t see professors making their own books required reading for courses.
