Hey guys my semester recently ended about 1 1/2 weeks ago and the grades are due by faculty on 6/22. since my professor has yet to submit my grade..has any of your professors turn in your grades late?? or not turn them in at all??sorry im just a lil paranoid. but thanks in advance for the replies.!

Nope . . . never for me

I was once given the wrong grade and for a few days it was listed on my transcripts (my professor gave me a C instead of an A). But he was chill so he fixed it right away. Just wait until tomorrow…? Some teachers are just really bad procrastinators.

k thanks for the info guys!

I had to ***** at two profs to change a grade last term… I had success.

one teacher had me at a C… I had an A(94%) on her grade book and she had everything in but participation. While I arrived late a fair number of times(2-5 mins) I knew very well that I didn’t have a NEGATIVE 100% participation grade required for a C… got a B, still ticked but I can live with a B. Ruined my 4.0…

Same here, xelink, except last week my stats prof gave me an F!!! I flipped! Turned out she meant to give me a B (still far below what was on my final progress report)… but guess what? She STILL hasn’t changed the grade yet and I’m getting a mite worried.

This semester I had a professor not turn in grades for 2 1/2 weeks. I sent her 2 emails and finally tracked her down on facebook! haha She didn’t respond to the emails to school… She DID respond to me on fb & advised me the key for Part 1 of our Chem final was incorrect so she had to go through and regrade 160 finals… She said that everyone’s grade improved etc. She asked me to tell everyone…

So it does happen. The schools want grades within a week but I think professors have up to 4 weeks… Don’t worry! I am sure your grades will be posted & transcripts sent in the next week or so.

Good luck! that’s a bummer.

kernlsand - did you end up finding a place in Sherman Oaks? I looked in Venice (which ended up being too far) & I found a private room / private bath in Westwood on Veteran & Santa Monica. :)

ugh he still hasnt turned it in yet…

it took around 3 weeks for one of my professors to post grades in the spring, and in the fall i only had 3 of my grades for around a month, then the other 3 got posted. i think the reason the fall took so long is because they get extra time to post them because they are allowed to post grades after winter break. but either way it sucks because we all work hard to get good grades and want to see them!

Sometimes it took my profs awhile, Fall 09 I think one prof hadn’t turned it in until January 3rd or 4th. I got lucky this time around, only took my Exp Psych prof about 2 weeks after class ended, and that’s cause he had 40+ large essays to grade and 3+ classes worth of finals

lol my professor just gave us this 40 question exam on a scantron…and thats all there was! he had every other stuff graded beforehand and he still hasnt turned them in. do u guys think i should pay him a visit asking why he hasnt done it yet? also is it possible he only left me out and turned in everyone else’s grade?? is that possible?

It might be worth dropping by and mentioning something to him. My professors occasionally obfuscated my grades, but it’s usually in a better light like giving me a B when I thought I earned a C, or Phil of Death giving me a B when I was SURE I’d failed the course. I mean I bombed the last exam… of course I was out for two weeks recovering from a 2 day kidney stone and had a horrible last month… but the professor was awesome. Looked, sounded, and acted like Lewis Black.

lol ok. ill drop by if he doesnt post it up by wednesday…ugh this is stressing…borderline grade n all

I hate that!! My Exp Psych I thought I might get a 78-80 so I was worried I’d get a C, though he grades on a curve so a 78 was still a B… Somehow I got a 90 lol! Good Luck!

lol yup ty. i emailed him and he never responds eitherr…ughh

grades are due on 1/3/10…my math professor still hasnt turned in my damn grade…do you guys think it’s possible for him to not turn em in by the deadline? thanks. getting a little worried now especially since im borderline

Unfortunately, since it is very unlikely that schools will impose any adverse consequences on profesors that fail to meet the so called deadline for turning in grades, those profesors who have no empathy for their students or any interest in relieving student anxiety or are simply lazy will not turn in grades until they feel like it. Even if the schools got very strict with the faculty about the deadlines, I am sure there are a lot of profesors who would not be particularly motivated by the threat of getting fired from a low paying job that they just can’t stand.
