Professor wins National Humanities Medal

<p>Among the winners are five people with academic ties: M.H. Abrams, a literary critic who taught at Cornell University for 38 years; David Brion Davis, a historian who teaches at Yale University; William Theodore de Bary, an East Asian scholar and professor at Columbia University; Darlene Clark Hine, a historian and professor at Northwestern University; and Anne Firor Scott, a historian who taught at Duke University for 30 years.</p>
