Professors

Feel free to ask about professors on this thread, but me first.

Any insight into Kipling, G. vs. Allen, M. for English 141A: Chaucer Canterbury Tales? I actually had Kipling for English 10A, but have no idea how he'll be in an UD class and as a grader.

I’ve heard good things about Allen.

I’m considering taking Math 31B next quarter
Does anyone have any suggestions with the following professors?
Song, B
Brown, R.F.
Martin, C.I.

Bruinwalk was not very helpful. Any response is appreciated.

I have Song this quarter for 3A. His accent is very thick and many people do not understand what he is saying half of the time. Fortunately, his tests are easier in comparison to the other 3A professor. If you take him expect to learn from the book/TAs and not from his lectures.

What about for 31b?

For Math 32A, Radko, Moschovakis, or Vilenchik? Radko and Moschovakis have mediocre reviews on bruinwalk and Vilenchik has nothing at all.

usually means the curve is higher which comes out to be about the same ****.

Is it better to take Butler for Math 31A or Scerri for Chem 14A?

Pang (Chem 14BL)?
Goldbring (Math 3C)?

I didn’t like Martin when I took him for 32B and 33A. He lectures in a monotonous voice and I always ended up dozing off or falling asleep during class.

Is he helpful in Office Hours? Does he seem to geunuinely want his students to learn?
