Hi,

I'm new to this forum and would be grateful if experienced folks shed some light on my chances as explained below.

Fall 2014 PhD applicant from India
School boards >90% (school top 10)
Strong extra-curriculars like classical music (not all that necessary, I guess)
BTech in Electronics & Communication from NIT (GPA: 7.2/10)
Reasons explained in SOP
MS in Microelectronics and microsystems from IIT (GPA: 9.7/10)
Departmental topper
MS thesis work on a particular topic but had interest in a broadly similar but category-wise different area (resulting in some conference publications while journal publications cover main thesis topic as given below)

4 extremely strong LORs and a good SOP (I think!)

BTech internship at IIT
MS internship at USC

Some TA experience in MS
Extensive research experience as a research fellow at IIT (~3.5 years)

6 international conference publications (2 IEEE SENSORS and 1 VLSID)
2 international journal publications (1 Springer and 1 Elsevier)
1 IEEE EDL (under review)
1 patent filed
[All publications are 1st author except for 1 conference]

GRE: 322 (nearly even scores 160/162) & 3.0
TOEFL: 112

Already accepted at Cambridge but waiting for US results (basically MIT and Berkeley)

Realistic inputs would be welcome.
Thanks a lot!
