Profile mistake! Please help me!

One of my schools had a 1/15 deadline for the Profile, so I went ahead and filed it, sending it only to the one school.

Tonight I was working on my FASFA using the worksheet provided by CB when one completes the Profile and I found that I made a HUGE $$$ mistake on one of the Profile questions.

I know the procedure is to make the correction on my copy of the Profile and send it to the college, but my question is this:

Since I only sent the Profile with the mistake to 1 college does that mean that now I have to go ahead and send the INCORRECT Profile to my remaining 6 colleges via CB, and then send each one of them a manually corrected copy?

Or do I just send the other colleges only the corrected Profile, even though for them it will be my first submission?

I can't believe this -- I thought I double checked the Profile before I hit the submit button!! I can't wait till this is over!!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Please .... can someone help me out here?

Is there an info link on CB? My first choice would be to talk with someone there. I guess I would send the correct CSS to your six colleges, and a corrected one to the the first college with a note of explanation.

I had the same problem....hastily submitted my error-ridden CSS profile to two schools with early deadlines and needed to submit it to eight others. I contacted the college board and they advised the following:

print out the acknowledgement that shows the information you submitted

make the corrections directly on the profile form

fax the college board the corrected profile

wait 24 hours before submitting the profile to additional schools

The college board implemented my corrections to the online profile within a day or so and I was able to submit a corrected version online to the additional schools....Hope this helps! Sorry I didn't respond sooner..I just joined the forum today...
