Hey
I got accepted into SCS and I was wondering what kind of programming software CMU uses (like Jgraps or eclipse)?

it shouldn't really matter? But most likely eclipse or some IDE they made themselves.

Most professors I know teach in Eclipse, though sometimes 15-100 will be taught in more lightweight editors. Past the low-level classes I cant imagine any specific one being mandated, use what you're most comfortable with.

Also, its not something you need to worry about now. What you need to use if there's a requirement will be outlined on day 1 of class, so just wait until then.

Eclipse in low-level java classes, and whatever you want after that first semester (TextPad, notepad, vim or emacs in C classes.)

Of course, you're always free to go command line and javac code. It really doesn't matter to the professors.

omg you are so nerd. cmu must be really a good fit for you.
