Programs for Math IIC?

In the Barrons book there are programs you can write into your calculator for the Math IIC test but when I called up the collegeboard to ask if I can use it a representative said no. Does anybody know if we are actually allowed to use it because it doesn't make sense for Barrons to show programs when we can't use it on the test?

Why in the world are you asking the representatives about such things?? Keep quite or you will make sure that graphing calculators are banned from the testing rooms, period. Use the programs all you want, at this moment you are allowed to, even for the simplest problems, just please don't ever again call the representatives and ask them such questions, what did you thing their response would have been?

There's really nothing on IIC that would require an extra program to solve...

What exactly are you looking to do?

Actually, I called them again but this time I talked to a different section and the person said that it is ok to use programs. You can have whatever you want as long as it is a scientific or graphing calculator that doesn't make noise. I asked the representative because it's called being ethical. If they don't want you to use it then you aren't supposed to use it. Why would they ban graphing calculators? It's no surprise to them that we use them and they endorse using graphing calculators. You make no sense and sound like a habitual cheater who tries to rationalize it. (to ktoto).
To bigmrpig, I added programs for angles that two lines create and the distance between a point and a line. Programs save time.

Actually, if you were really "ethical" you would not have thought of using programs on a test anyways, much less calling (and recalling after getting turned down) about if you could use it or not, hypocrit.

Regardless, programs aren't needed to score perfect if you deserve it.

First of all, how is using programs unethical if you are allowed to use it? Secondly, I called again because I had read on this forum that you could use it, it was in the Barrons book so why would they have it if you can't use it, I was asking a person in the wrong department the first time I called because I was actually called at first for a different question, and the person didn't know what programs were who told me that you can't use them. I guess I was being really hypocritical. I just use programs to save time. Its not a big deal. I don't know why anybody would be scared of calling them if they haven't done anything wrong.
