Progress Reports

What does it mean if Harvard calls your school asking for a progress report?

and said progress report contained two Cs due to the fact that work was not yet turned in due to missed school and all work is a 0 until turned in. My counselor explained this, but has this completely ruined my chances?

hm…it could have. They could have asked for a progress report because you were borderline…

I didn’t know it was like Harvard to call schools up for progress reports. I’d call/email your admissions rep immediately and explain the situation. It’s too late in the game to play around. I myself had to mail my mid-year report overnight mail a couple days ago because this dumb school system uses trimesters…

Which brings me to another question: Why is the mid-year report not listed on our “applicant status” page as a required document?

ClamzoniofRI, I’m guessing that they can’t really “require” it because in reality they don’t get to all the mid year reports.

Powerbomb, thanks for the insight. I suppose they’d only give it a once-over if the applicant’s academic record is under consideration.

They received my midyear report. They just inquired to what my grades were at that specific time. Because I miss so much school because of my sport, I turn in assignments at different times than others and until my assignments are turned in, they are entered as zeros. So, when my counselor gave them my grades they included a C- and a C in classes that I actually have As in. Where do I find the regional rep’s info. They said that they were having committee and that they needed my grades immediately per my counselor. This was a couple days ago.

anyone know where I can find the regional admissions representative’s phone/email?

My regional rep sent me an email shortly after I submitted my application. Nothing special; just some cookie cutter message about their role in the process, and their availability to answer my questions. You’d be better off just calling the admissions office ASAP.
