<p>There is this guy I have become friends with this year, and I'm thinking of asking him to prom or hinting to him that he should ask me. The only person that really knows him is my best friend, but I think that my other friends would kind of poke fun at me for going with him, even when they don't know him, because they classify him as "nerdy" but I don't care because I am a nerd myself. I wouldn't want it to be really awkward when we are taking pictures beforehand and he is just kind of there. But I am also really sick of not having a date.lol. I think I would have a good time with this guy but I also want to have a good time with my friends.</p>

<p>Sure, I went to prom with someone my friends didn’t really know. I mean, she was a more social geek, so she fit in kinda easily, but it still went smoothly. I say go for it! Especially if you think you’ll have a fun time with him.</p>

<p>By the way, I recommend asking him :wink: Can’t count on him to take the hint.</p>
