That dress is gorgeous. I think it'd be too much for me though. I'd be expecting to be headed to the altar!

Since it's only my junior prom, I think I want a more fun dress, like some of the stuff BCBG does. I think I want to look at Saks or the BCBG at the mall for my dress since especially if I end up going full length I'll be in desperate need of alteration (I'm 5'1") and though I'm quite used to hemming pants, I don't want to try altering my prom dress. Once I get there I'll probably have so much sticker shock that I'll run to the sale rack, and then run even farther to Macy's.

I love all these dresses.
My dress feels inferior! It's cool though, I don't buy into the whole.. Fancy-shmancy prom thing. It doesn't quite work with my personality (I'm too bubbly to be classic).. I'd end up ripping it, too!
Everyone else has really, really gorgeous dresses though! I especially love CoffeeAddict's one from China, and of course Emp's!

Ahh, I'm worried my parents will budget $20.00 for my dress since my sister got her (really cute) prom dress at a thrift store for about $4.00! They have to understand that most girls don't go like that. Even my sister spent something on her shoes.

You could always offer a deal - tell them that this year (given that it's your junior year) you'll stick to a low budget while making sure to search everywhere! So that next year you could go all out for senior prom.
