There have been about 48935894548935984859346890320946089 threads about prom lately. If you have a question, rant, or anything about prom, post it here.

Fair enough.
I was invited to senior prom. My best friends are all juniors with likely dates to junior prom. Is it silly to go to both proms so I don’t miss out on a perfect night with my boyfriend or a fun night with my cohorts?

If you find prom preferable, then I suggest that you attend it.

Why is finding friends or girls to go to prom with so hard in high school? ■■■■!

I keep chickening out whenever I tell myself I’m going to ask this girl to prom. Happened twice today in fact. >___<

Just do it. Pyroza, the worst that can happen is that she says no, considering you and her are actually on good terms. You won’t be humiliated or anything if she simply replies no.

If that girl is a friend of yours, likely she’ll probably say yes, even if it’s just as friends. Also, do it creatively, and it’ll be harder for her to decline.

As for my own problems, I guess they’re not really anything bad. I already know who I’m going to ask, and within the start of next week (she’s out of town until like sunday). I just need to figure out how lol.

Hey Whan, I barely can find anybody go with right now. It seems like I’m quieted by these people in my school. I can only ask the immature people who’ll give “down” responses to go out to prom, but not so much of other people that I can go in to a niche.

=[

Experiences are probably one of my worst since High School. I guess I’ll have to continue absorbing the rest until June, which graduation then hits in.

Will one of you go with me no boy will ask me i feel so sad bawwwww

conor, you can ask someone…

^ Why is it so hard to get into the high school prom with kids and then ones who suffer can’t wait to graduate? :/

People like us who have been in this shoes won’t ever consider looking back to the past too much again.

Hopeful, when is prom for you guys? Do you have any relatively close friends that are girls? They are all candidates. If you have multiple, choose one you’re particularly close to. Also, ask early too, so you won’t be beaten out by another guy.

I’m not quite sure what you mean that you’re quieted, or can only ask the “down” people. Do you share some classes with some girls you’ve hit off well with? You can ask them too. There are a lot of candidates to go to prom as just friends with. No one ever said you have to go with the person you really like, etc. After all, the point is to try and have a good time.

Conorske: You can ask someone too, as a girl, if you really feel inclined to do so. Or you can go in a group of girls, which is never a bad thing either.

Band- i’d go to both man!

Boston- yeah dude i am right there with you. I already planned the shore and stuff w/ my friends, but ALL my friends who are girls have dates/boyfriends- it’s ridiculous lol. I’ll probably ask someone from another school.

A bump, I guess. I asked her yesterday and she said that she doesn’t know if she can go because of an aunt’s wedding the same day. It seemed like a genuine excuse at the time, but of course the paranoid part of me is telling me that I was rejected nicely.

If any of you CCers know CHRISTIANSOLDIER, please try and convince him to go to senior prom. He’s being a little dick about it and doesn’t want to go.

Pyroza, it could go either way… although I’m more inclined to think it’s a genuine excuse. I mean, that would mean she wouldn’t be going to prom at all, if it were true. And most seniors wouldn’t give that up just to avoid someone.

@Beerom26 - Doesn’t he understand that he basically HAS to go? Like, it’s senior prom. I’m a fan of my reasoning as of late. I’ve gotten into the habit of stating my opinion as fact.

@anonymous93: That’s what I said. Even his mom agrees with me. She was very close to forcing him to go to prom. It’s not like he doesnt even have a date. I know of at least 4 other nice girls who’d be willing to go with him.

For me, SCREW JUNIOR PROM!!! Just add $30-40 and you could have an all-day amusement at Disneyland.

@Beerom26, and what is his reasoning to not go to prom? I will only accept reasonable excuses. If prom conflicts with his discovery of the cure to cancer, I will still advocate going to prom.
