Prom or Blue vs Gold game ?

OK......

For Christmas my parents gave me a trip to South Bend to watch the Blue vs Gold game (spring football game) and to see the campus

But, I just discovered that my prom is the same weekend
Now, Im only a junior so I can always go to prom next year....... but I really dont know if I want to miss it or not

im not sure what to do since my parents want to book the airline tickets.....
ohhhh

Prom or Blue vs Gold game?

dude consider the fact that u are a junior and on the ND forum, i think the answer is obvious plus like u said it is only junior prom. Senior prom is the big one, so i say ND

I say prom because prom only happens twice in your life....while ND football....that happens quite often each year! So I would say spend time with your high school buddies and enjoy high school! You will have plenty of other chances to go watch the Irish play!

Screw prom.

Notre Dame football > any high school activity.

---You will have plenty of other chances to go watch the Irish play!----

Not in person! This will be Jimmy Clausens comming out party...

But I think I will atleast put off buyn the plane tickets till later..... because it is prom

Charlie doesn't show much with BG game, no blitzes or anything like that. Go to prom man. I understand the difficulty of the decision, especially this year, but as someone who only went to one prom (ironically as a freshman in college) I would do that.

Hmm... if it were your senior year I'd say prom without a doubt... actually I'd still say go to the prom even though you'll still go again next year. ND Blue vs Gold game is cool and all, but it's no regular season home game, and I would think you'd have a much better time at the prom.

Go to the prom. Scalp the Blue/Gold tix and buy the date an awesome dinner! (Yes, that's the answer from the female perspective...)

Blue/Gold game isn't all that big of a deal, just an excuse to book local hotel rooms and throw a tailgater...

ya I agree....

Blue and Gold game

Reason: Prom will be twice as special when you walk in as a senior. Imagine that first grade school dance; the excitement was incredible. Don't let yourself down as a senior by going as a junior.

I agree prom is best as a senior!

this is my mom's account but i saw this question and had to post a reply.. i'm a freshman at ND and also a varsity athlete on the women's crew team. every year each varsity team has a blue and gold game when the team is divided into two and it competes against eachother... at ND these scrimages are NOT that big of a deal.. my advice to you is to go to prom. both my junior and senior proms were some of my best memories from high school. i know my friends at ND and i always reminisce about prom and say we wish we could have it again. you have the chance to go to a blue and gold game every year.. but you only get two chances to go to your prom. besides, a b&g game wont be nearly as exciting as watching ND play in a real game!
