My prom is probably going to suck, maybe not exist at all. I don't know if I will get a date, but that's probably one of the least of my worries. I might not even have a group to go with. While I've been asked by a few individual friends to go with their groups, I am really more of a friend floater and don't really stick to one group, which sucks because I might not even have a group to go with anymore. What do I do? If I do get a date (the possibility is MAYBE open.. I think a guy might ask me), should I go with his group?

And share your prom stories/worries as well!

Lol I just had my junior prom, I think two weeks ago, it was AMAZING. One thing I have to tell you, is don’t just go with a date for the heck of it. Itll be really awkward for the whole night. I had an amazing date, he was a gentleman, held my hand, asked me to dance, pulled out my chair, blah blah blah, but I still would rather have just been able to dance with my girlss. Also, don’t do anything stupid at the afterparty…i was an idiot, and lets just say i was really embarassed the next day. Thats about it, haha.

Prom was great for me last year; I went with a friend who asked me and my friend together (we have a running joke that we’re the same person).

I assume I’ll be going with my boyfriend this year. If I don’t, I’ll be somewhat screwed. I just hope that he asks me. He hates dumb traditions like prom asking and I’m sure he’ll think it unnecessary since we’re already dating.

Anyway, I don’t know if I’m going or not. I don’t dance. At all. Plus I don’t even have anyone to go with at the moment, so whatever. Prom isn’t really my type of thing anyway…

My worries? I’m probably not going to go to my senior prom because my girlfriend will be in Idaho at BYU. Oh well, I had a good junior prom with her…

I’ve gone to prom the past two years and I’m nervous I wont get asked this year! But if not I’ll just grab a friend and tell them to come back for prom lol.

yeah, our senior prom is sometime in may… usually like on the day of boy’s state tennis tournament which kinda sucks for our team since it’s gonna be all seniors :P

thanks for the consolation and it’s kinda embarrassing to admit it but i did the breaking up >.>

Lol. @cranberryorange, the guy I was talking to at the time was like ur bf, he actually flat out refused to go to prom, said he was “against it”…turned into a big fight between us, I ended up going with another kid.

@hannah
Wow, that really sucks, I’m sorry. My bf went to prom last year with someone he didn’t like, so I’m assuming he’ll be up for going this year. @system
That definitely wouldn’t work for me…my bf told me that I should “have sex with any guy who asks me to/implies he wants to.” We’re an odd couple.

I am most likely going… but I’m not sure who I will ask I kinda don’t feel like asking the girl who I went to snowflake/homecoming with because well… I have a bit of a (major) crush on her, and I think she only sees me as a friend.

Lol, although my prom is sometime in June, I wanted to be proactive since last time I really procrastinated. I literally went shopping the day before, and ended up getting a crappy dress. Okay maybe not crappy, but certainly not ideal.

Now, a big fear of mine is getting asked out. So far, I think I’ve done a pretty good job of appearing like a terribly unlikable, rude, ugly, and obnoxious person to anyone who could potentially ask me out. I would imagine going with a date would be really awkward experience, and I’d prefer to avoid it for the meanwhile.

lolol. @cranberryorange…yea, it was pretty hurtful, it was that and some other factors that made us get into a fight, but he wud’ve been no fun anyway
