A few questions... There is this girl whose family has been really good friends with mine my whole life. We spent a lot of time together when we were younger but we don't see each other much or talk anymore. I guess we are both pretty shy and if I don't ask her I won't ask anyone. I am a junior and she is a sophomore and we go to different schools. I really like her and our parents talked at a dinner about it and think its a good idea. I'm just not sure if I should because we don't know each other as well as we used to. I don't have a lot of friends going and I'm worried she will feel awkward because she won't know anyone. Should I ask her and how? She doesn't live very close to me and I won't see her in person unless something special is planned. Also, if we go, should we go with a group of people (for dinner, photos...) or by ourselves?

Get up the courage to ask her! The same thing happened to me last year. A boy I used to he really good friends with asked me, but I was already going with someone else. If you think you’ll have fun together, just do it. And if she says no then she goes to another school so you won’t see her every day.
