<p>around here we usually ask around 1.5 months before prom. mine is on may 4 and i asked on st. patty's day :)</p>

<p>my prom night is going to be totally awful... i'm in a professional play here in DC and we perform the night of my prom. :( i don't even know if i'll get to go!</p>

<p>Usually at my school, kids start asking each other right before the tickets go on sale (which is usually a month before prom- this year I think they go on sale around April 17-ish for the prom on May 11th)</p>

<p>Your proms are all so early! Our senior prom is always a couple of days before graduation. I think it's June 18th this year. Junior prom is in mid-may though.</p>

<p>That's crazy.... ours is April 20-something and nearly everyone knows who they're going with. Personally, I think Prom is really stupid... but I'm still going...</p>
<p>I had my prom on Saturday. My date and I went with a group to a nice restaurant, then went to prom for a bit danced and took pictures, then left and went to a zz top concert that i had surprised her with tickets to earlier. Basically it was a blast. I wouldn't have done my senior prom any other way...you can't do that with any girl...she just happened to be the type that was into three old ridiculously old dudes jamming on stage with 10000 screaming people on the floor rather than spending an entire evening in an uncomfortable dress that she'll never look at again. All in all...good night :-).</p>
<p>My school's prom is on June 9th I think. o_. Clazy.</p>
<p>Mine's is on May 5th. I'm on Spring Break right now, and my date was planning on asking me the Friday before we went on break. Emphasis on PLANNING. He didn't ask me. I freaked out on him on Thursday because of something that happened earlier today and just went, "so are we going together?" I felt really stupid after I found out that he was still planning on asking me the next day, regardless of what had transpired.</p>
<p>He's planning on doing something special for me after break, though. He's such a wonderful guy <em>siiiiigh</em> (I really, really like this guy lol.)</p>
<p>I bought my dress this weekend and went looking for shoes and perfume today. I know how I'm doing my makeup, my hair, the flowers for the corsage/boutonniere, what group I'm going in, and what jewelry I'm going to wear. I'm insanely prepared and eager for this. Up until a couple months ago, I had never planned on going to prom. I remember saying I would never go to prom when I was a kid ahaha.</p>
<p>It's mainly because the guy. Spending an incredibly romantic, memorable evening with him changes EVERYTHING. Yep. :D</p>
<p>At least two-three weeks in advance. It's more like having to worry about competition in getting your desired date. As long as that's sorted out, along with limo, dress etc. It's all good!</p>
<p>^ yeah, see, i wish it was a competition. but the problem is that a lot of dumb guys ask girls months in advance. this one nerdy kid asked one of my friends-thats-a-girl in december! that's 4 months before prom! apparently she told him maybe and then he just told ppl she said yes or something like that... but the bottom line is that she was too nice to turn him down. so i was kinda annoyed when i found out 'cause i was thinking about asking her.... but not 4 months in advance. (since then the guy has asked to be her boyfriend and she said no, so now prom is going to be preeettty awkward for them, haha)</p>
<p>Our is the end of May... don't know if I should ask her now or wait until after Spring break, which is next week? She is the only one I'd really want to go and have fun with too...</p>
