Prom!!

im torn. prom is probs gonna suck a lot, but i sort of want to go/ i feel like i should because our junior prom is pretty much a fund raiser for our senior prom cos our class has no money. i love getting dressed up too. the choices for dates is pretty slim pickins though...

I am kind of partial to the whole thing. There are a few reasons I actually want to go-it is my senior year and I feel like i'll regret it later on if I don't go; also, I REALLY want to get to go dress shopping and get all dressed up :]. On the other hand, most of my friends either have dates or just don't feel like paying and thus are not going. I'm sooo worried I'm going to end up having NO ONE to go with....ugh..and I always wanted that whole "limo" and after party thing :(

I went to my middle school prom. Booty-dancing aside, it was a waste of time. I did not go to my highschool prom, despites my mother's insistence I do so. Which reminds me that it's odd I still post in the high school life board. Then again, it's one of the more interesting boards around here.

lol so most of the guys on CC are "Prom = lame"

and the girls like me are "Prom = dressing up + last dance ever of HS! WHEEE!!"

haha.

Yea. maybe. in a couple of year.s
we only have 9th grade graduation dance this year.

Lulz... the money people pay for a simple memory.

^^ Exactly what all money would be spent on in a perfect world.

Oh, Heck yes I'm going. Our theme this year is "Haunts and Horrors," so everyone is supposed to try to look somewhat scary and vampireish. It kind of ruins the whole purpose of looking nice, but its just so epic.

And I've already been asked by the girl who I was going to ask, so I'm all set.

Seriously, how could you not go?

I'm a senior guy taking a junior guy. My school's pretty cool with it because a lot of girls think we're attractive and they're excited that we're going as a couple.

OOH! The both of you should dress in the most elegant ballgowns you can find.

Make them girls jealous. ;)

Hmmm, I wonder what our theme is...

Yeah, I'm definitely going. I could have gone in the two years previous, but hey, prom is a junior/senior thing. Now, I get in for free because I bought a yearbook.

If I go and get my boyfriend from his college and then bring him back after the weekend is over, then he's my date. Otherwise, I go with friends.

And I have this weird thing about formal dresses, so I'm pretty excited about that.

No after party. No dinner included with prom. We get M&Ms and Goldfish crackers.

i'm definitely going to prom and i'm beyond excited. it's the last one and i've been going since sophomore year so it would be ridiculous to not go now. and since it's senior year that means no limit. haha my boyfriend isn't happy about being dragged to his second post-graduation prom but he'll get over it.

haha and i'm going to the fall out boy/metro station/cobra starship concert as well bc it's the weekend after prom :)

I'm going to two!
My Senior Prom on April 18th and my boyfriend's May 16th.
I have a beautiful princess like gown for mine. I won't get it for a while though. For that one I think we are staying at this restaurant in town, and then possibly getting a Horse Drawn Carriage to arrive in. There will probably end up being like 4-8 couples hanging out.

Then for my boyfriend's I have a more elegant, sorta seductive, pageant/oscars type dress. No idea what the plans are for that one!
But I'm excited

I've also gone my sophomore year, and two last year.. So

seriously dawg, if you’re not going to prom stop posting on these threads and spreading your evil lame ass doctrine of lameness
i’m definitely going to my senior prom because even though i don’t party much, i do enjoy partying with friends and having a good time. and $100 seems nothing when (my parents are paying for it) it’s a culmination of my entire high school career.

Nice necroing a 19 month old thread.

Your prom is $100? Dang. Mine is upwards $250. Not worth it.

Mine is 40-100 depending on how much the class raises.

I’m kind of nervous but I’ll go :D

Idk the whole deal with the limos and stuff… sounds complicated

We call our ‘proms’ dances during middle school and the first years of HS, and then we have formals. Except my school doesn’t want a formal because they don’t want girls to obsess over dresses. My brother’s school formal is $200, which is in US around $144. They have one of the best formals in a tent or gazebo (something like that) and they serve alcohol which is why after parties are discouraged.

We’re having our senior prom this spring on a boat ! :D

^ Us too! We’re going to a boat in NYC (You are too?)
